Documentary: My Extreme Weight Loss Transformation - Full 1 Year Journey + Before & After

- Weight gain and falling testosterone with age are not inevitable: at almost 40, going from 177 lb and ~30% body fat (March 2024) to 131 lb and under 10% body fat (January 2025) through diet alone — begun while injured and unable to exercise — restored energy and testosterone.
- Half-measure swaps fail: a TV-style "balanced" diet heavy in carbs and seed oils, diet soda instead of regular, honey instead of sugar, home-baked bread, and portion control all backfired into more eating and more weight; the fix is changing what and how often you eat, not substituting "better" versions of the same foods.
- The core protocol is OMAD (one meal a day, at dinner) kicked off with a one-day water fast; manage hunger with black coffee, black tea, and green tea, and reframe hunger itself as proof the plan is working — fat cells "requesting a refill" that you refuse.
- Escalate the diet whenever progress stalls: OMAD alone dropped 9 lb in 40 days then plateaued; switching to strict clean keto (animal fats, no ultra-processed vegetable or seed oils) restarted the loss, and a final switch to carnivore was needed for the last stretch to sub-10% body fat.
- Plateaus recur and are temporary — three occurred over the year; ignore them and keep pushing, expecting the last few pounds toward 10% body fat to come off slowest because the body clings to its last-resort fat stores.
- Track and visualize daily: use a smart scale to record progress, keep an AI-generated image of your goal physique on your phone and look at it every day, and set staged weight targets (150, then 140, then 130 lb), moving the goal each time one is hit.
- Reintroduce movement gradually as injuries allow: walking rebuilt from 1 mile 4 days a week up to 5 miles 2–3 times a week, with light workouts and occasional running added only after knee and shoulder pain improved.
- Once fully fat-adapted, hunger stops being an issue and energy surges; fasting's biggest payoff goes beyond fat loss — staying calm and content without food builds mental resilience and freedom (no more getting hangry), and intermittent fasting plus carnivore helped the skin retain elasticity, avoiding significant loose skin.
